I liked being able to support a business of color. I previously left a 5 star review after my first 3 visits, but unfortunately Henry, the main person at the desk is on a power trip on speed & I will never return after the way he treated me this past week. I was 3 minutes late for my appointment time & he made a comment about it. I did not complain & stayed amicable. He did not look at my car or communicate with me on the day we scheduled the week before. I stayed amicable even though I had shortened my work schedule (my work allows no interruptions) specifically to be able to communicate with him and/ or pickup my car before the shop closed. In mid January I took the car in bc of empty coolant fluid. When I got it back, the check engine light was still on. I thought they had just forgotten to turn it off after the repair, but clearly never ran the diagnostic tests. I did not complain or give them a hard time about it, but scheduled to have it looked at. Those should have been run in January instead of charging another $200 to run them a few weeks later. I drove normally for 3 weeks which likely contributed to the demise of my engine. I did not complain about that because I thought they were honest. I now see I was wrong. I asked multiple times to read the work order since they called on the afternoon after I had dropped off the car (Thursday) & I had a heavy load at work until they closed. He sent it multiple times in a short time (while I was working & can’t use technology), but was too impatient & deleted the jobs writing I refused them. He recommended I refuse them, but I asked to review them. I still have not been able to see it or review the work. Perhaps I would take the recommendation, but I need to be able to make my own informed decision. I should have 24 hours to decide after reviewing it. I called Friday during the first moment I wasn’t working. I had to cancel my afternoon appointments because I got hit suddenly by Covid. I asked to review it again, saying I had to lay down because I was too dizzy to drive the loaner back or read the review & needed to take a nap to be able to do that. I slept through the alarm & woke to a nasty message threatening to charge me $85/ day for a dog hair covered car that made me sneeze incessantly with back seats that don't open to get my child buckled in that I drove on Wednesday & Thursday (before my car was even looked at) when I still haven't been given a chance to review the work? When Ii was too sick to drive safely & clearly no one was borrowing it at the end of the day on Friday? When it says I have 24 hours after completing work which I was not given the opportunity to even review? I had to have my 86 year-old father return the car for me because I cannot walk. I have not left my bed since Friday. It’s Monday morning & I awoke to nasty messages, huge loaner car bills, patronizing messages & threats of legal action from this self-important front-end guy who is now lying about when he looked at my car. I don't know why Henry so impatient and running in fight or flight, butI'm certainly telling the 4 friends who were going to try this shop out to go elsewhere. I do not know what lies he told the owner, but I am having to write this in the worst pain of my life while they threaten to call the police. I still want to see what needs to be done on my car. I have never not paid a bill in my life & have always paid them promptly. What is wrong with these people?
