Went here to have them run general diagnostics on my car. They did, and they then explained everything to me and told me what needed to be attended to immediately and what could wait. I appreciated that. There were a few things that were odd to me though. At first, they wanted to charge me $500 to change my car battery, which seemed quite steep. I called them and told them that it seemed steep, and then they told me it was a mistake and that it would actually cost $300. Hmm, weird. Still seemed high, so I decided against it as well as any other services. When I went to pick up my car, I noticed that my stereo no longer had power going to it. Also weird. I went in and asked them to look at it, which they did. The guy who looked at it came back and was basically laughing it off and insinuating that the stereo had actually been broken when I brought it in and I had just not noticed. This was false. I can remember the song I was listening to as I parked my car there, actually. They then told me that they basically couldn't do anything about the stereo, so I left. I'm not generally one to leave angry reviews about a place (in fact I've never done it before), but I'm pretty dissatisfied with my experience here, particularly with the fact that my stereo worked fine when I brought my car in and was no longer functioning at all when I picked the car up. It's not really a cheap thing to go and get fixed myself, so I'm not too happy about it. Make of this what you will, but that was my experience.
Ben, First of all thank you for your business. The situation you describe was one of those situations were something occurs under our watch that for whatever reason has no clear explanation. Because of the timing of things, we were not able to immediately determine why the radio was suddenly not working when you picked up your vehicle. I did check fuses to see if that was the problem and I found no blown fuses at the time. There was no inspection or diagnostic procedure we performed that should have had any effect on the radio. Since we did not observe the function of the radio prior to our inspection and diagnostics, I will continue to diagnose what may have happened, obviously at no cost to you. Lastly, I apologize if you felt that we were insinuating anything that was disrespectful. That certainly was not the intent. There is always the possibility that the radio was working right up to the time that we saw it and since we were not paying attention to the radio we didn't know if it worked before, it simply left you and us with questions and some awkward timing. It wouldn't be the first time in my 25 year career that purely coincidental things like this can happen. I will follow up with a phone call to you so we can schedule you in as soon as possible and find out why your radio doesn't work. John Owner
